The
School of Materials Science and Engineering carries
out research in a variety of materials-related
fields. The major research areas in the School
of Materials Science and Engineering are:
Inter-disciplinary
research is emphasized, involving faculty from
other schools within NTU and overseas research
institutes and universities. Industry-sponsored
research is active, with research grants being
offered by a variety of Singapore and worldwide
industrial concerns. The School has research collaborations
with some local institutions and world-class organizations.
The
School of Materials Science and Engineering offers
research programmes, on part-time and full-time
basis, that lead to the following degrees:
- Master
of Engineering (M.Eng.)
- Doctor
of Philosophy (Ph.D)
The
higher degree student will work under the supervision
of an academic staff member whose research interests
are in the area proposed by the student.
