This lab facilitates academic learning and provides
research support for staff, postgraduate and undergraduate
students in the area of ceramic processing technologies.
Our research and academic programs are primarily
driven by applications and are aimed at creating
innovative solutions to industrial needs, through
the development of new materials and processing
technologies.
Active areas of research include rare-earth oxides
for various applications, arrayed quantum dots
for nano-electronics and novel rare-earth doped
aluminate nano-phosphor for white light hybrid-LED.
In addressing the needs of these research projects,
the lab is well-equipped with wide-ranging state-of-the-art
equipment and characterization facilities.
