The role of the lab is to aid in
research and teaching in the area of polymer science
and technology. It has designated rooms for undergraduate
teaching, polymer synthesis, polymer characterization,
and polymer processing including processing or
deposition of polymer and organic thin films.
One
of the research projects being carried out in the
lab involves photo-responsive smart polymers at
the molecular level. The lab also boasts sophisticated
equipment such as the Atomic Force Microscope,
Raman Spectrometers and Thermal Analysers.
