Current Research Interests
Polymer nanocomosites and nano-structured
organic-inorganic hybrid materials;
Crystallization behaviors of polymers;
Electro-active polymers; Hydrogen-bonded
liquid crystalline polymers; Liquid
crystalline polymers as processing aids
for engineering thermoplastics.
Biographical Information
She obtained her B.Eng. and M.Eng.
in chemical engineering from Tsinghua
University, China, in 1982 and 1984
respectively. She received her PhD
from the Department of Materials Science
and Metallurgy, University of Cambridge,
UK, in 1995. After a short stint at
the Hong Kong University of Science
and Technology, she worked as a research
fellow at the Polymer Processing Group,
Gintic Institute of Manufacturing (now
known as SIMTech), for about two-and-a-half
years. She joined NTU in 1999
as an assistant professor.
